RELEASE: Super Replacement PCB rev_6a

I am pleased to announce that new revisions of the PCBs in my project are now ready for release! Many of the changes in this release are driven by excellent feedback from the Super Metroid Speedrunning Discord community. Special shout-outs go to Finn, Shwaapa, and ShinyZeni. Thanks, guys!

Probably the biggest behind-the-scenes change: the project has been convered into a monorepo that merges the files for the controller main PCB and the shoulder button PCB into a single repository. All library files are included in this repo, including my branding ones. This represents a significan reduction of unnecessary complexity.

LEDs and accompanying current limiting resistor have been added for the Start and Select buttons. This works best when using translucent membranes like these ones sold by RetroSix.

The overall shape of the main PCB has been adjusted to fit better inside the controller housing. All tolerances have been tweaked so that the board can be dropped into an original Nintendo SNES controller shell with zero insertion force. In general, the shape of this PCB matches the original PCB shape much more closely.

The position and size of the holes for the controller shell alignment and screw posts have been fine-tuned as well.

The values for the LED current limiting resistors have been increased. I personally find that 300Ω provides a much more comfortable brightness level for those LEDs.

The vias for connecting the shoulder button boards have been moved closer to the edge of the board because testers reported that they were intruding on the button membranes. This is especially problematic with the D-Pad, as any deformation of this membrane changes its performance.

Still on the subject of the shoulder button vias: it was reported that they were a bit tight for the pins crimped onto the end of the original shoulder button wires, so I have made them slightly larger.

PCB shape has been refined to fit better within the controller shell. In particular, the width of the portion that slides under the button has been increased to minimize side-to-side movement.

As with the mainboard, the internal diameter of the vias for connecting wires has been slightly increased to make inserting wires easier.
